Crysis Warhead is a science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer Crytek Budapest and published by Electronic Arts as an expansion to Crysis. Crysis Warhead is a standalone game and does not need Crysis installed to play it.

Crysis Warhead updates and refines the gameplay of the original game through a sidestory plot involving Psycho, one of previous protagonist Nomad's allies. The game is a parallel story that follows Sergeant Michael "Psycho" Sykes, a character from the original Crysis, as he faces his own trials and challenges on the other side of the island during the time period of the first game. It features new fully customizable weapons, vehicles and enemies, along with new multiplayer content. It also showcases a new, enhanced and optimized version of CryEngine 2!!

I only played the beginning of both games, but Warhead seems to be the better one. It's much more action-y then Crysis. Plus the protagonist is much better.

I finished C2 only a few days ago and I agree that C1+Warhead was a greater experince. I hated many small things i C2 despite the nice environment; I was never confortable with C2. The only positive thing I can mention is the more scary, evil looking aliens, lol. Also, what was the programmers smoking not allowing manual savings in C2 which is a pretty hard game? This alone made me just furious; what the f:ck was Crytek thinking with no manual saving? A scandal and a real shame!

i agree that maybe 10% of the people that played crysis 1 may enjoy crysis 2 more(poor simple minded bastards that destroy the videogame industry by wanting a more casual and accessible aproach in video games)

and dont give me that crap on couch and big tv,its common knowledge to connect a pc to a tv screen via hdmi and if u really wanna use a controller then get the xbox 360 controller for windows which is the best controller ever, and there you go you got the best console in your living room

@DJBV have you considered that maybe people like Crysis 2 more than Crysis? or maybe more people like to sit on the couch with a controller in front of a big tv instead of at a desk with keyboard and mouse staring into a small screen? i downloaded the first Crysis off the PSN and have the 2nd Crysis and the 2nd game is just better imo.

Wonder what crysis 3 is going to be about. Crysis 2 i liked how how everything looked and the controls allowed me to be much more mobile and some features. Crysis 1 i liked how open and big the levels where and vehicles. Maybe a mixture containing the pros of the two and if they decide to go multiplatform then they make it for pc first then optimize it for console instead of the otherway around like they did with crysis 2. But thats just me, just no cities go to a forest or jungle something new
