not reading any of the comments prior to posting this, this is pure early 00s highschool. i recently played this for several friends and all of them confessed that this was a part of their "highschool sweetheart" relationship. as was the entire punk goes 80s cd. but we will and should be... "FOREVER YOUNG"

I first downloaded this album back when I was in Junior High, because I was into all the Pop-Punk/Emo bands that covered the song. I stopped listening after my musical tastes changed. Eventually, I began to fall in love with 80's New Wave bands, and thus I came full circle, and began to listen to this album again.

That was supposed to be rod stewart is greater than so they say. Not sure why it didn't come out the right way
DUDE. The song can be about whatever it means to the individual. This was one of me and my ex boyfriends songs, it's a song about love and letting go and wishing something good for someone, I don't care what it was written about, for ME its a romantic song so whoever gave me a thumbs down for my reply is a moron.

For all of you who have or are about to star harping on the lead singer's abilities, there's a little known phenomena in music known as "style." Covers are NOT carbon copies of previously released songs. As far as updated covers of contemporary hits, this ranks right near the top of the list. They've imparted their own style and energy; it IS called "Punk Goes 80s" for a reason. Five starts, for sure.
