Samsung Galaxy Note Games (gameloft and others)

I had a Desire HD on which I could play all games. On the Galaxy note, many won't run. It is mainly a fix that the developers have to do on the market: the market will not display the titles that are not updated for galaxy note. Gameloft has to do the same thing on their website. The Galaxy note has a MALI GPU (same kind as galaxy 2), but higher resolution. It is not so difficult to make the fix, in fact, many games already run (if you know how to make them run). Gameloft sure is working on the fixes for this device. In the meantime, I'll play the games I had on desire HD, the video shows the ones I got to work.

Other working titles:

- Dead space
- Shadowgun
- All the titles present in the market (apparatus, cut the rope, angry birds series, other small games)
- GTA III
- Brothers in arms 2
- Asphalt 6
- Jetcar stunts
- Fruit ninja tegra HD version


I have superuser access on my galaxy note. For some games I had to use chainfire 3d. I couldn't play some other games like:

- street fighter IV (doesn't download the data)
- rainbow six shadow vanguard (many different problems with many .apk)
- shadow guardian (same as above)
- battlefield bad company 2 (doesn't begin download of data)
- let's golf 3 (incompatible with .apk)
- Tintin HD (only the 2d SD version of non-smartphone starts...regardless of which gamedata I put in the game folder on the SD).

I cannot get Real Racing 2 to run. It took about 2-3 hours on wi-fi to download the data. Once it did, the orange EA loading screen came, followed by the intro video. But after that, on the screen it shows Real Racing 2 (The logo had an HD written on it, unlike the one in your video), it tries to load, but then it shown an error (Error Loading m3g rr_track18.m3g). I tried putting the files onto my SD (android\data\com.real.... folder) but it did not help. Please help me.

@siddhanthgupta you have to use the samsung galaxy 2 version. copy the sd data, and click 'no' where it says it needs to download data. the game will start fine.

@TheAladmeral i use at the moment SPB Shell 3D. It is not cheap but is ok if you like to pay applications. I used a lot ADW Launcher EX but it is not smooth on this phone (because of a high resolution I guess). I don't like Launcher Pro and I don't like GO Launcher...so I ended up using this SPB Shell which also offers a Tablet layout...everything smaller looks just like a tablet now if you have good eyes small characters won't be a problem :)

@jackl1 well the phone heats up...I think is the battery that has to drain because of the cpu usage...and also cpu and gpu. The phone is very thin so you notice it also on the screen. Nothing to worry about. You can help by turning off wifi when playing

How would you get Fruit Ninja THD to work on a non-Tegra device like the Note?

@GotNextVideo I actually do not know. I own both the normal version and the THD version. I was able to run the THD version on the desire HD by running Chainfire 3d. On the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Ninja THD is normally listed on the market...and you don't need chainfire to play it. So, I think they removed the exclusive for tegra devices...and ninja THD is available also for non-tegra devices. The same happened for samurai 2, Riptide GP and Shadowgun (run perfect on galax note without chainfire)

@rogermorsee There is no option to click no. Only a single button for download. Cancelling it exits the game to the application list. Also, will the apk file also change for different phones? I was using an xperia mini before this (MSM 8255 chipset) and different data was downloaded compared to what was downloaded in the note. Isn't the data the thing that varies for different chipsets?

Please help me. .. When i download real racing. .. It takes almost 2 houres to download. .. And just when i open the game it looks like its 100 % compatible it plays the music and than it says loading failed. ... How did you get real racing on your note? ??
