Bill Anderson - Still

The country music audience and music lovers everywhere still shocked and saddened by the deaths of Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins in a plane crash in March of 1963 possibly found some solace in this gentle, partly spoken song from "Whispering" Bill Anderson. By May of that year "Still" was the #1 Country song in the nation even crossing over into the Top Ten on the pop charts.

Thank You Bill Anderson for this song of a lifetime. You see 48 years ago my then girlfriend and the Love of my life were seperated as teens and were not to see each other. I had not heard from her for almost a year and then got word where she was attending school. I then sent a copy of this record 'Still' to her high school and somehow by fate it got into her hands. We have now been happly married for 47 yrs w/ 4 children and 9 grand children. The Lord moves in many ways in our lives.
