Monty Byrom is about as good as it gets.Word is that he will have some new material coming out soon! He is an incredible guitarist,singer and songwriter. He plays some weekends with Buck Owens Buckaroos in Bakersfield.In this clip he is playing with some former Band mates and friends on his 50th birthday.
Monty was a favorite of the late,great Buck Owens,that tells it all, if Buck liked him he must be good! And he is awesome! Ed Berghoff is playing with Monty in this clip, Ed is an amazing guitar player and songwriter. Tanner Byrom is the fantastic drummer!

Monty had another group after Billy Satellite, called New Frontier, I think. They made an album. I liked the single, which MTV used to play a video of late at night when no one was watching. I like Monty's singing more than his playing. BTW, he looks about 16 in this video. How can this be? He should be around 50 by now.

Correction tenn he recorded I wanna go back with Billie Sattelite then Eddie Money redid the song. This is the reason I dont watch American Idol Uncle Monte has forgotten more about music than anyone on those shows.

I totally agree with harlya! I have gone so many times and I can say it gets better every time! He gives me the chills when he is performing. He is awesome! Swing those hips Monty!

He's really underrated. Check out some of his work with the band Big House. Their stuff is excellent. It's a shame that Monty is virtually unheard of and guys like Kenny Chesney are superstars.

Yea, it appears he did. He also wrote "I wanna go back" that was recorded by Eddie Money. This video doesn't show 1% of his talent.
