The naming does get messy esp. with both an American and European naming system! I would call that instrument either a short octave mandolin (19 - 22" scale) OR a long mandola (15.5 - 17" scale) -- but bouzouki sounds good too since the tuning is not for an octave. Anyway you folks sound fantastic!!

Well, I call it a bouzouki, but the guy who made it calls it an octave mandolin. It's not super long scale, and tuned GDAD, so call it what you will.
