self training soccer instep kick: progressive exercises. Concentrate on basic fundamental technically correct play; heel up, toe down, ankle locked (toes curled back if necessary), head, chest, knee over the ball, support leg to the side of the ball, hit thru the back of the ball. Do not stretch out and reach for the ball, concentrate on technique!

  • the advantage of the floor is the bounce you get. You have to control the weight of the kick. concentrate on the technique, hit thru the back of the ball with the instep; heel up and toe pointed down. We are in a racquetball court here. The main thing is to find a wall to kick off of, hopefully with a decent surface.

  • the ball is a a size 5 soccer ball covered with the tennis ball felt so it minimizes the damage of a soccer ball. It is not quite the weight of an official ball but close.
