is it possible to group specific midi channels together no instruments?
ie: i use Kontakt 3 sampler for kicks & bass, claps etc, but ive loaded them all into the 1 sampler across multiple midi channels.. but i want to group just the kick & bass channels, not the whole instrument. is this possible, or each sound per instrument?
Not entirely sure! Do you have the multiple output version of Kontakt? If so, you answer lies in mapping to separate outputs from kontakt (they show up in the cubase mixer) which can then be routed to a group in cubase. Tracks which cannot usually be routed to groups using the track inspector can be routed differently by using the vst edit page (press the "e" button for the selected track) and find the routing options on the far left hand side of the eq curve. Hope that helps.
