But you're playing it wrong. Gloves aren't optional in 16 inch softball. They're prohibited! That's the rules. Why not play 12 inch softball where gloves are allowed?

I play in this league, the use of gloves has nothing to do with protecting your hands, just due to how competitive this league is players like the fact that the oversized softball glove allow them to make one handed catches that their arms and/or hands would otherwise be too short to make. Gloves are optional in this league, but it's like who would be willing to put themselves at a disadvantage by not using one. If the leauge were to ban gloves I don't think many people would even mind

I see most everyone here is with me on the gloves. 16inch, broken pinkies, and no gloves is how its played, period.

it makes me happy that so many others are also rightfully flipping out about the gloves... and they make a video about these guys?! Go to Indian Road Park on the North Side, that's how it's done...
