Mail lady goes postal

Video from my CCTV system. She wasn't happy about the trash can being in front of my mailbox.

For the record:

1) I was not home when this happened
2) the 'panning' video was done in post-editing (digitally)
3) I put the full cans on the other side of the driveway, not on the street
4) The trash people put the empty can in front of the mailbox.

To all the postal workers who displayed their nasty, profane, disrespectful and angry attitude here through their comments, here's to hoping you enjoy the coming 120,000 worker lay-off. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of people.

Postal Regulations REQUIRES customers to provide access to their mailbox. Delivery employees are not out there to risk their safety or run a obstacle course to deliver mail.

No access no delivery. No parking your car in front of your box. No putting trash cans in front of your box. No bicycles, skate board ramps, Christmas Trees, piles of snow, etc in FRONT of the box. PUT IT UP ON THE CURB along side the box but not in front of it!

Why does everything that happens to a mail carrier somehow have to have some hidden nasty directive? Not everyone is out to get you. Perhaps people put their trash cans next to the mailbox so that all the obstacles at the end of the driveway are on one side. Leaving at 5am in an overly-crowded development is enough of a challenge without having to try an thread your car between your mailbox and your trashcans. Just saying. It may have nothing to do with a "screw the USPS" thing.

Simple fact: if there is garbage in front of your box... you don't get your mail. YOU are not worth damage to my vehicle. You can piss and moan about that all you want... call the post office, call the president, call whoever the he;; you want... but you STILL won't get your mail until the box is clear.
