Hello, my name is Grant Sock and I am a senior at the University of Georgia. This question is for Ron Paul. You have consistently been a strong opponent against the war. Given the recent progress made in Iraq and General Petraeus's request for more time. Do you still feel an immediate troop withdraw would be the best solution? and Why?

I did say he had common sense. So why is your reply inferring the opposite? And experts and economists can say what they want. Education does not always guarantee a good income or a job.

I had a draft number of 365 and I went to college, myself. No Viet Nam! Education does not guarantee you a job, or big income, though! The man has ways of stealing it from you! The statement meant that this guy had enough sense to want an education and not choose to risk his life for an illegal war! We cannot fix the religious "nuts" (Muslims) brains!! Did I call him a crimnal?

The gold prices may have raised since two years ago but the price of all goods have gone up since 2005 as well as saleries... so maybe with a slight raise the price of gold has stayed relevant

and as for the jurisdiction for us being over there.. the security and safety against a potential terrorist attack is enough jurisdiction to me. Before you can say they had it better than they do now you would have to go see it for yourself before you can make that conclusion

mavtek: what business do we have being over there? are YOU serious? i have a strong feeling that if one of your family members was in 9/11 you would have a totally different view on the war and the fight against terrorism that we are currently fighting in Iraq! And yes i understand that mothers and families want there kids home and safe but those men who have chosen to devote there efforts made that choice

Or one could argue that us through the CIA and intervention actually created the Dictators and the Terrorists we so despise. I think the latter is to be more true, and I'm not alone in that thinking. Maybe you should read the 9/11 commission report.

Have I been to Iraq? No, but I do know they had it much better than they do now. Are you seriously going to attempt to deny that? Tell me your experience of both being there before we went in and then after.

Yes, he was.

I have been there, and nothing you've said is true. Have you?

I'm no isolationist, I say trade with people, be friends, talk with people, leave your weapons in their holster. Defense should be used for defense not offense. Saddam Hussein was not supporting Terror, thats' just an idiotic statement.
