Dipping my own Makers Mark bourbon bottle

Jim Beam is certainly not a better bourbon than Maker's Mark! In fact, I'd say that Maker's Mark is easily one of the best, while Jim Beam is a classic but simply a mid-shelf bourbon.

A veteran bourbon drinker that thinks Jim Beam is the better than makers mark. Anyone else see anything wrong with that sentence?

im a long time beam drinker...and i also enjoy more expensive brands as well...makers mark is a quality drink but overpriced...imo buffalo trace is as good if not better for quite a bit less...if your looking for a mixer that you sometimes drink neat...why in the world would you pay for makers...they may put tons of care into it...but it has to be affordable... for me...money is an issue

Now I feel like an asshole.
To all the Maker's Mark fans out there, let me clarify that I think it is a very good Bourbon as is Jim Beam. The notion that MM is twice as good as JB as reflected in the price, however, is unsustainable. There are so many far superior Bourbons than MM in its price range that I wonder why anyone would buy it. I guess it's that red wax ;)
