If I'm a recruit, I honestly see NO reason to attend Texas Tech if you have any other options.
1) No success in their FB Program. Not a single National Championship, or even a Big XII Championship, nor a BCS bowl appearance.
2) Lower-level academics. Google Accreditation (Tech is about to lose theirs)
3) Lubbock is in the desert, with nothing in close proximity.

That is why Texas Tech never ranks among the top fifty universities in the country. It doesn't even make on the top 100 list.

woah woah cmon all you guys stop hatin so much. you may be right about some of the things you are saying but your coming off like slobs. Im from Austin and I grew up a UT fan and now Im a Tech student and I have seen poor sportsmanship on both sides. Tech isnt as bad as the sterotype is blown up to be-only school in the state with a law, medical and business school on the same campus and is expected to have 40,000 students by 2020.
