Here Ruth from Camden Clog dances a collection of heel & toe steps from the East Lancashire clog tradition, as taught by Pat Tracey.

(semi-relevantly, she's wearing the morris dancing kit of the Hoddesdon Crownsmen)

  • Fantastic, well done Ruth, greetings from the Red Rose County,

  • The closest and most accurate example of clog dancing you'll see on YouTube.

Every click of heel and toe is measured with great accuracy.

  • Hi

Yeah, saw Pat Tracey at Dancing England, Derby Assembly Rooms in 1983....brings it all back.......

  • Note the medal she's wearing. It's first prize from the 2009 East Lancs style Pat Tracey competition which was part of the Lancashire and Cheshire Clog Competition at Fylde Folk Festival. Well done!

  • 'East Lancs' being Blackburn Hundred sort of area, yes? Anyroad, well done to Ruth, from a SouthEast Lancastrian! ;)
