The reason why you use a hot plate is that a tube amp sounds its best at max volume;)

Shoot even with a 20 watt amp you still need a hot plate.

I think it sounds awsome but does your amp feature a master volume ? I imagine the presence of the hot plate means no...
There are a lot of good amps but to me these are difficult to choose and I must buy a new one now.

I think you're an amazing player, and that amp sounds killer. I'll be building a custom DR-503 that'll be biased for 6v6's to drop the power down to 20 watts. I wonder how it'll compare to yours.
