  • That poor Green candidate was lucky there were real men & women at the rally to calm & support the fed up fisherman's educated view that our local fishery is healthy & abundant.

For a blow-in to step up under the guise of the Greens preaching unsubstantiated doomsday propaganda, with no regard for facts or livelihoods he was indeed lucky he was not amongst other greenies, who would of no doubt run for the nearest tree & hid. If the Greens had their way everyone would be on the dole planting tree

  • Clot..... save your energy for chomping down your lentils, your perception that fishermen & women are rednecks or racist bigots is so wrong.

Anyone who makes a living or enjoys the lifestyle of Gods given ocean do it with passion & emotion, much like if your thing was motor racing. There must be a decrease in global tyre stocks too if you think to much, do you walk everywhere.

This is a local resource not global, limits, quotas, nets all controlled, enforced by regulation, don't muck with it.

  • Yea if he disagrees with you, just push him (like you guys did). Real smart rednecks! lol

  • Poor energy-clot, guess you smoked more than your fair share of cannabis at uni eh, because you didn't learn a whole lot especially engaging your brain before you shoot off your doomsday propaganda

  • Theres more to it than that energyclot,

lumping recreational and professional line fishers with commercial fishing is illogical.

The greens marine park scheme are not based on science they are based on gaining the green vote and in doing so they are locking out huge areas of the coast to people who want to recreationally fish.

You'd be surprised that a lot of the so called 'red necks' you describe are passionate and active about caring for a sustainable marine future.

  • Wow energylots, for a university educated person you really have no idea on this one.

Perhaps you need to go away and do some research and see what the issues really about.

  • Poor Greens candidate surrounded by hot-headed red necks lol It's a shame most of these people have never ever been University educated. If they were then they would learn about the decrease in global fish stocks. Can't they see that in the short term, if action isn't taken to stop over-fishing then in the long term there will be no fish? Simple?

Not simple for Pauline Hanson fans I guess...
