Crashing. We reduce the total time of the project by expediting some of the activities. Of course this costs extra, so we try to minimize the total crashing cost. The project is reduced from 15 days to 12.

thanks for this great video, but I have a quick question about crashing activities together.

Say, for example, £300 could be saved for each day that product duration was reduced.

Rather then crashing a single activity, it's cheapest to crash A+B TOGETHER by one day, does this mean we have saved £300, or £600?

It depends. If you have two critical paths, and you must crash A on one path together with B on another path to reduce the project by one day, then, it sounds like you would only save 300 pounds. If, however, you only have one critical path, and you could crash A and B together, on the same path, by one day each, then, it sounds like you would save two days, and save 600 pounds (however this also assumes that one of the other paths does not also become critical)
