DerAnstifter: 'Nationalistic"? Have you ever heard of the choir at Washington National Cathedral in D.C.? I think the Mormons are better marketers than Episcopalians, who have some of the best choirs in the U.S. But by far the best choir choirs come from England.

This is the most reverent version of the United States' National Hymn--yes we do have one--I have ever heard. Thank you for posting.

It's a shame that the Mormons seem to be the only group that can put together a decent traditional choir.

Why is it a shame? Mormons are some of the most honest and loyal people I've ever met.

Has anyone found the 1973 version of this from the Mormons. It was on the Readers Digest "collection" of greatest hits. It was by far the most awesome version ever made. The descant the women sang is enough to melt hearts.

Only some have abandoned him. There are many that are holding on to his precepts and fighting for them. We see it in politics all the time.
