La Clique at London's Historic Hippodrome
Fresh from rave reviews at the Edinburgh Festival, La Clique brings its troupe of artists, performers and misfits to London's legendary Hippodrome in Leicester Square.

La Clique is a motley assortment of some of the most outrageous, hilarious, bizarre and beautiful acts from around the world. On any evening you might see:

Norway's Captain Frodo, whose eye-watering flexibility enables him to squeeze through tennis racquets;
Spain's Ursula Martinez whose show-stopping routines strip cabaret to its bare essentials;
Germany's David OMer, who has re-invented the pleasures of a nice soak in the tub;
Ukraine's Yulia Pikhtina, who claims to be one of the finest exponents of the ancient art of hula hooping;
The English Gents, performing their amazing feats of strength and skill;
London's own Miss Behave a PVC-clad caricature with a fetish for swallowing pointy objects
The amazing puppets of Montreal's Cabaret Decadanse;
Mario, Queen of the Circus, a veteran of the New York alternative comedy scene who appears as a leatherbound reincarnation of Freddie Mercury.

This is the first extended London season for La Clique, who have performed all over the world including Sydney, Montreal, Dublin and New York.

The cabaret-style show is perfectly suited to the grand interior of Leicester Square's historic Hippodrome. And with the lavish auditorium served by plenty of bars, La Clique promises a rousing night out.

About the London Hippodrome
The Hippodrome is one of London's most venerable venues, boasting a history as varied as its current occupants.

Built in 1900, the Hippodrome started out as a water circus, featuring elephants, polar bears and sea lions frolicking in its 100,000 litre pool.

Since then, it has hosted everything from Harry Houdinis greatest escapes to boxing matches.

It was graced by the likes of Judy Garland, Shirley Bassey and The Temptations in its time as a dinner-dance venue in the 1960s and 70s, before it became a nightclub in the 1980s.
