hi , im planing to make a journey from uk to Iran with my car (like what you did if im right) , can u tel me how long did it take you ? how did u find driving a RHD car through the roads of other countries ? if the car was diesel , didnt you have any difficulty with refuellings (specially in Iran) ?
your help and advice about this trip would help me a lot ,

Hi,
It took us 11 days to get to the Iranian border (Maku), and that was driving approx12 hour days, half a day in Istanbul and1 fixed radiator (say additional 4 hours). A lot of the roads in eastern Europe & Turkey were being rebuilt and were bad at the time but may be better now if work has finished.
Driving a RHD car is no trouble if you have a reliable passenger to look for overtakes for you. Our car was petrol but diesel was readily available in all countries including Iran.
