I like the discreet nature of the words here. Good and raunchy and non-PC. One question only. I am off to interview some senior mining company executives as I am a freelance writer. Should I wear my hair in the style of the drummer?

What a cracking song! Brilliant violinning!

I bought the cd/dvd. Its great, highly recommended. The band is sharp and, of course, Ms. rior sings like an angel.

Brilliant violinning indeed! I think that the cameraman eventually sussed that it wasn't the guitar making that almighty sound :-)
Love this version.

I had the good fortune to catch Peter Knight after a Steeleye gig in Salisbury two years ago, and asked him about the violin sound in Bonny BLack Hare (I'd noticed it was too low for a regular violin). Apparently it's an "octave" violin with heavier strings to allow the lower pitch at the same scale. He runs it through a ProCo Rat pedal for the distortion. I was absolutely gobsmacked the first time I saw them perform this - the violin blows the guitar out of the water for solo tone.
