Harold Camping predicted that the end of the world would occur on 21 May 2011.
This was not the first time he has made such a prediction. He had previously made a similar claim in 1994.
When the 21 May 2011 prediction failed to happen he changed the prediction to occur on 21 October 2011.
It only goes to show how fallible man's interpretation of god's inerrant word can be!

I feel so sorry for the kids who had their college funds ruined... Then again, growing up in a christian household that believed in Harold Camping probably meant they would have just went on to study theology.

Ah shit, can't believe I forgot about that prick. I could've made so many jokes, since Oct 21st is my best friend's birthday. Someone should've marketed Arkham City on the basis of it being so awesome that the first person to complete it would experience such a singulariy of awesome so as to collapse reality, and that one person could be YOU.

Righto then. I'm still a bit pissed off that Harold's may prediction was wrong; i was all ready here in New Zealand (we'd get it first), i had my looting bag and the axe was ready to deal with any unwanted zombie action. 6pm came and went, nothing; weeks of planning wasted and i'd really been looking forward to a looting spree too.
So just in case he's right this time i'll get my loot bag dry-cleaned and sharpen my axe....oh and dibs on Australia :)
