Yes, in fact those species eat full grown cod, and/or their minnows, spawn & eggs. I'd suggest you do your own research instead of regurgitating only DFO or government propaganda.

Of course, deny the historical record out of prejudice and ignorance. Mink were a part of Newf. & Labrador trappers life; The duck's meat was unpleasant- they killed them for fashion-feathers. Ecotourism for seal nurseries, once the seal barbarism stops, is estimated to be $10 million a year just at the start. Much better than seal fur markets which have dried up from the EU ban. Even Russia has banned killing of seals. The startup whale watching industry already brings in $100 million a year.
