thats not true at all. the higher you go the less dense the atmosphere is. and he hasnt actually left the atmosphere hes just in the outer layers of it about where our weather balloons are.

Why? Joseph Kittinger, the man who jumped out of the weatherballoon, survived. He's still alive now, at the age of 79.
