www.ProGuitarShop.com-The Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster is the first pedal designed to work specifically with your pickups. This dynamic little boost pedal gives you up to 25db of gain as well as a resonance switch. This switch gives you three options...1-resonance is shifted down
2-3kHz. 2-Resonance is shifted down 3-5Khz. 0-Resonance is not affected. This switch is designed for use with single coil pickups. Position 1 makes them sound and respond like vintage humbuckers, position 2 makes them sound like modern, high gain humbuckers. Position 0 is a totally neutral, transparent clean boost designed for boosting your amp or your signal in a long effects chain.

The Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster could possibly be the ultimate boost pedal. When switched to "1" and engaged, it makes a Strat sound like an old SG. Thick and rich like milk chocolate. When switched to "2", your single coils take on the tone of a modern humbucker with ceramic magnets. When in the neutral position, the Pickup Booster is totally transparent and retains your true signal. In this mode the Pickup Booster is ideal for pushing the front end of your tube amp or overdrive pedal. The Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster is probably the most useful pedal you could have on your pedalboard.

  • geezers, you misunderstand - this is not just a device solely to make your single coils humbuckers, it's a pickup booster - it does what it says on the tin!! It increases the gain from your pu's - so if you have vintage low output pus, it increases the output to mimic 'modern' high output pus. So if you going into a distortion pedal or valves it increases the saturation not the volume. Or if you are playing with a clean sound then it will increases the volume (as per higher output pu's).....!!

  • Would you still get single coil hum when using this?

  • Zeppelin ftw :D

  • @krispatel1 Yes.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Hi.. can i use it with my DigiTech GNX1 floor multi efe and combine it with the overdrive and distortions presets to gain only boost with out chance the sound of my customs presets ??

  • Sweetness

  • @TheBryanlp Depends on your reason for switching to a humbucker. If you're trying to get a humbucker sound occasionally grab one of these. If you're always going to be using it though, better go with the humbuckers, you'll be better off with the hum canceling.

    My two cents.

  • @yetanotherusername00 in this demo, he says, it's to make your single coils into humbuckers. So how can you start out saying it isn't soley for that?

  • i have a classic vibe tele would you recommend this vs putting a t sized humbucker in it?

  • @shelbyfanss it was intended to boost the preamp gain from a tube amp or a hybrid amp(amp that has tube preamp solid state power amp)hop that helped

  • Is this good for boosting amps with?

  • @kmoffett95 i'm not familiar w/this pedal, but if you're daisy-chaining the pedal that could be an issue. have you tried just a 9V adapter (wall wart)?
