PART 1 CoC, 47th Transportation Co., Ft. Bliss, Texas

Change of Command at 47th Transportation Company (Dark Nights). CPT Jennifer McIntyre signing out as Dark Night 6 and CPT Aubrey Ashford signing in as the new commander. CPT McIntyre received a meritorious service medal for her service in Iraq. In attendance are Colonel Lawrence Phelps (Brigade Commander), LTC Peter Kim (Battalion Commander, 142nd CSSB), CH (CPT) Fulton (142nd Chaplain), Mrs. Daisy Ashford as the new first lady of the Dark Nights, the soldiers of the 47th, families and friends. This was a wonderful ceremony on a beautiful El Paso morning on September 15 , 2010 and celebrated at the same time the return of the Dark Nights from its long and dangerous tour of duty in Iraq without casualties and loss of equipment. Welcome home and Congratulations to the officers, NCO's and soldiers of the 47th---from JR Matias (New York, NY).
