16 arrested at Hindraf candlelight march in KL

Sixteen people, including former Internal Security Act detainee P Uthayakumar, were arrested at a candlelight vigil near Dataran Merdeka tonight.

The vigil, organised by rights group Hindraf, began with a march of a 100-strong crowd from nearby Masjid Jamek.

The participants, who were singing songs and carrying roses and candles, called for Malaysians to respect one another's rights.

However, before they could reach Dataran Merdeka, the crowd was confronted by two dozens police officers.

You're blaming the wrong side mate. Islam or Muslims are not to be blamed for this. If you must blame, blame those who were pulling the strings behind the cow-head demonstration. He came out to defend them in a press conference and later flip-flopped in his stance. Yet there are no action against the cow-head protesters.

That is as much as I would tell you. It's an open secret really ;)

The poor malays doesnt want to help themselves up..they have been brainwashed by PAS specially not to accept money from govt, PAS has inplanned in their brain all the negative perspective. And this poor are because of own self doing. Im a malay, in malaysia there are lot of opportunity..just have to work dont complain. U might be unfortunate but u need to help urself up. Govt has given and provide everything. But they just dont wanna change so what happen then? Im sure you know the answer
