Leaving a closed community like the Amish ones would make it VERY difficult to transition into the modern world. With not even a high school education, how do you expect them to get started?

@734P4R7Y .... it's a little more than that. but it shouldn't be that difficult to understand as there are religious folks (ie: other christian sects, judaism, etc) that don't live a 'strict' interpretation of their faith but hold onto the components that have meaning for them.
