Siebzehn Kreuzer Speck - Wanderlied Parodie. The translation is incomplete - something about 17 cruisers, bacon and eating too much . . . ? My friend Istvan says it's "about 17 cents (Kreuzers = coin) for bacon". Funny tune for me to have chosen since I'm a vegetarian!

Here are the lyrics - perhaps someone can help out with this -

Here's the Google Translate version (unintelligible):
Out into the distance, with seventeen cruisers bacon. Is so happy to eat, ma takes away the Franciscans. And who the tuat, on the ane knagt Huat. The kriagt ane on shako, that he's never tuat.

Transyodelation (from my friend Schnefsky in Canada):

Far away in the country with seven kreuzer bacon,
I love to eat it so much that no one will take it away from me
If someone tries to take it from me, I will hit them over the hat, and then hit their thumb, so they will never try again!

It is more common to use the words "sauerkraut und" to replace"sieben Kreuzer".
Speck is smoke cured bacon.

--Schnefsky ( according to his mother-in-law)

Trying out my new Zoom Q3 stereo audio/video recorder for my vocals.
