Good idea. I like the "no hoop damage" aspect of it. Too bad I saw this after putting my kevlar beater pads on the "sweet spot" of my EMAD head.

Would the bass drum lift work if the drum has a regular flanged hoop (sixteen inch floor tom with an eight hole flanged hoop), thus saving the need to buy a floor tom to bass drum conversion kit?

I have a drummer who is using 2 bass drum lifts on a 16 inch tom. He uses one on the resonant side as well as the batter head side. He says this works perfect. He is going to make a video showing The Lift iin this application. I will post that video as soon as it is available.
