This is a ETA .15 MKIII I recently acquired. It included the box and all papers. The original receipt is dated 1965. I put an APC 7x6 on it to test run it. I didn't even put a tach on it. It's incredibly loud for a diesel. It was was stuck solid with castor when I got it but a few drops of fresh fuel loosened it right up. It was popping over when I was loosing it up, so I just had to put it on the bench.

  • A 0.15 C/L engine? That's rather big for a control-line engine. I wonder how easily it could be converted to an R/C engine.

  • @douro20 2.5CC (.15ci) is a very common CL engine size. In the US CL classes up to 10CC exist. Those 10CC engine make 5+ horse power.

  • Nice engine.

Not a best idea though to add more compression on working engine.

In some engines (especially older ones) you can literally turn it into piston:)

  • @Smagany This is robust engine. One of the best in it's day. It was slightly over compressed once it warmed up, but not much. Czy latasz F2C? Samobudowane silniki, czy Profi, Cyclon, etc.? W Ameryce jest malo osub w F2C. Ja tylco latam RC, ostatnio tylko czterotaktowe diesel albo iskrowe.

  • rang me dad about vid, i sent him the link. he says that one of the first models went to a collector for £780 recently. good grief. terry

  • my first reply on youtube no good so will repeat it.

my dad ken bedford made these engines and is still going strong at 89. a magazine came to interview him the other day about his engines. the 29 was the noisiest engine and could be heard from miles away. lol. terry

  • where did you buy and how much you cost, please answer

  • Nice ETA ...Its the mk II? I have also one,I think its the first one.Stil don try to run him...But I wil ,one day, thats sure! I dont know why,but diesels was and will be always my favorite engine,....maeby the smel,?.... :-)

    Keep them running!

  • This was a pretty expensive engine back in it's day I mean £10 was like $18 and that was a lot to pay for an engine the allbon bambi THE smallest ic engine In it's time was £4 and the cox .010 was the second smallest and that was $6.96 and those engines were made with high precision so this must have been real cutting edge when it came out.

  • @rcdieselrc Tak, aktywnie startuje w F2C, w przyszłym roku Polska organizuje Mistrzostwa Europy w klasie F2.
