@intelligentignorance I really don't care. I just love both their compositions for the movies. Music is half of what makes a good movie. The better the music, the better the movie.

@HardCorpsPredator Different composers, different levels. John Williams versus Hans Zimmer is difficult to compare because they know how to make music their own. Now on a preferential level, Hans Zimmer beats out John Williams (IMHO) because he makes music more ably to be listened to without context.

This song actually is the reason why good and evil exist in this world together :-)

@Aphraxus He sort of did. When he died he died in the sea. Final resting place with calypso.
-
@Aphraxus he does. he reunites wit calypso after he falls in the whirlpool. she is the whirlpool
-
@Aphraxus I think they do. When Davey Jones is killed he falls into the Maelstrom. I think this is meant to symbolize the sea taking Jones for her own. And since Calypso WAS the sea.... I think they did spend eternity together.... if not in the way you'd expect.

Pirates of the Caribbean has come up with some fantastic music, even rivaling, in my opinion the majesty of Star Wars music.

This song is going to be played at my funeral.
-
@Aphraxus He dies and falls into the Maelstrom, which is Calypso's form at the moment, so in a way, they do.

vaaaayyyyyy
Does anyone else wish that Davy Jones gets a happy ending - that he somehow reunites with Calypso and they live together happily?

@DarkF00L Some people are just way too ignorant to see the beauty of poetry.
