Here's a nice demo by Sanity originally released at the 'World of Commodore 1992' event. Enjoy.

  • Hummmm Jester's "Stardust memories" is one of the fucking best tunes in all the time :)

  • Cheers for the track title, I never knew that. And it's led me to find 4 remixes of it over at AmigaRemix dot com, which are worth a look for some different takes on one of my favourite Amiga tunes. Thanks again Otheym :)

  • Amiga's fuckin rule like, aswell as these graphics are class i love the 8 bit music, lethal!

  • 8-bit? 16-bit surely?

  • am I the only one who like "hyperbased" better than "stardust memories"?

  • @moejoe1337

    mod.Stardust :)

  • @alm0nd Just do it in flash, prepare to fry penis.

  • @NeoAdonis666 You can still get "somewhat-Amiga-like" computers. The issue is that not much has changed since then.

Something totally new would be nice though.

  • @FatAgnes

Amiga PAL Paula audio is 4 channel stereo 8-bit at max 28837 Hz (NTSC: 28867 Hz) sample rate, pre-A1200 amigas have a 6 dB/oct low pass filter with cutoff frequency at 4.5 or 5 kHz, all has an optional 12 dB/oct Butterworth low-pass filter at approximately 3.3 kHz.

You can hack it into 14-bit stereo by mixing one 8-bit channel at highest volume and one 8-bit channel at the lowest volume and let them be mixed into 14-bit so to speak. AHI does if you ask it to.

  • Damned all these amiga demo videos are made using UAE... PCs can't scroll smoothly YET!! It have been 20 years man...

  • @FatAgnes All Amigas had 4-channel 8-bit sound, from the start until the A1200/4000. With musicians like this though, one could wonder why you'd ever need more :)

  • @djasbo 16-bit, or even 32-bit if it was done on a later-generation Amiga

  • The second tune bu Bit Arts is great.
