The title says it in a nutshell. I went to my local Honda dealer to get a replacement bolt for the engine cover on my 2010 Accord (the horrible noise my old car was making was just the engine cover mounting bracket rattling against the valve cover lol) a month ago and ended up driving home in a 2011 Accord. It's pretty much the same car, but with a few features my old one didn't have plus better mileage (I have just over 1000 miles and I'm already getting better mileage than my 2010 ever did: 30+ in combined driving) and some styling tweaks. Same engine and transmission. Still slow. Fast forward a month to last night, and while driving home from a friend's house, Bambi decided to come say hello to me in my brand new car. Unfortunately for him, I was going 45 mph (down a two lane road) when he decided to make an appearance. Luckily for him and I, I had just enough time to slam on the brakes and slow to about 20 before I sent Bambi flying off the side of the road. A little shaken up, he quickly regained composure and took off running while I hammered the throttle hoping to avoid any of his friends who might decide to run into the side of my still moving car (just in case). The result is what you see in this video. Doesn't look too bad, but I'm afraid of what damage lies beneath. At a glance, it doesn't look like anything happened except for the missing Honda emblem. Apparently, Bambi stole it in the wreck and is probably now wearing it as a trophy around his little antlers as proof that he took on a car and won. But upon closer inspection, you can see that the grille is busted and covered in deer fur, and the hood is creased right above the grille. Thank goodness for comprehensive insurance with no deductible. Still, I'm pretty sick over the fact that my new car has to go under the knife at just a month old. Ugh...
