Judo is always boring if you are just watching it. doing this kata is really interresting and exhausting. you need years of training (and 10 are not enough^^) to this kata at this level.

You trained at judo for 10 years and you can't spell "sensi" also "learns" and "break" a fall. Methinks you landed on your head too many times. Ps. dragonflies are very fragile..............

What are "fist lessons" in relation to Kodokan Judo

in your first lessons you learn how to fall. of course not only but the ability to fall is essential to be good at judo. i also teach my student some easy throws which they can do slow, so they know why to fall like i teach them.
also "first lessons" are how to hold your enemy on the ground and how escape from such a hold.
if you start don't worry if the others are bigger, stonger or more experienced. they will all treat you with your level, so a green belt won't throw you ways you can't fall!

I agree, I am only yellow belt, today we saw kata, and I have big problems for the fall on the left... I fall as a bag with potato, because I am afraid. A mental fear which I do not manage to erase at the moment. But there is no secret, it is necessary to work, again and again...

i am blue belt and i am a kata "partner" for someone who does his black belt. so i have to the whole nage no kata. don't worry if you have problems with falling on the left, we also have some difficulties. just go on learning. it will never end.
good luck
