I, at first, also thought this was a needless product. However, after my baby girl started to sit upright in those dirty, hard, shopping carts (where she would also put the sides and bars in her mouth) that where corrutated with germs- I changed my mind. This product covers the entire cart, all bars, protects from germs, provides comfort, holds baby in securely, and you can attach toys for baby's entertainment while you are shopping. Great product, worth the money. One of the best on the market.
