I see what you mean. -- I sew my own webbing.

The ones in tjis video are 15' long with a loop at the end, but I normally use short loops now. I think the are a 12 inch long piece sewn into a loop. A bit longer may be easier to tie. I then clip that short loop to a long webbing as in my other videos.

I'd say 10 to 15 feet of webbing. The stuff is cheap, light and compact , so it's better to have too much than too little.

Longer webbing lets you use thicker trees...

What kind of webbing are you using?

Does it stretch?

The one in this video is military spec so it is super strong and won't stretch.

I use any Rock Climbing spec webbing. I never use webbing that may stretch. Only Rock Climbing spec webbing.

@rayd888 Merci, the ones that were already sewn together in the stores were 5' or '6 feet. Yet the ones I have seen on YouTube and on websites appear to be so much longer than the 5' ones.
