This brought back a random memory from watching M*A*S*H. I remember noticing that while the men tied on their masks as shown in this video, the women always had their ties crossed (upper to neck, lower to crown). Never figured a reason why.
@bourgeob I wear also a beard and I tested the piccola (dräger) and the 8835 (3m). The first one had a ratio of 16 (inner dust/outer), the 8835 had me an average of 84. The acceptable ratio (in my company) is 50.
@moodygirl000 I don't think it's that straightforward. I wear a beard. Another bearded guy at work was going on about how a beard negates the effect of a dust mask. This video didn't settle anything for me. I bet more air gets around the spaces he's left around his nose than around my same make/model mask properly fitted to my face. On first use, you have to try it on 2 or 3 times to get that metal strip to match your nose and upper cheeks.
HI what do the numbers stand for on the dust masks you are demonstating. In the UK we use indexes P1, P2 and P3. P1 being less effective in higher exposure conditions than P2 and P3. As you have access to and supply safety masks how about a demonstration with a line up of masks. You could start with a low exposure mask and work through to an air feed system. If you do a complete range demo let me know i'd be interested to see it.
I never understood people who try to advertise on Youtube. Especially this...no offense, but why are you advertising how to use a dust mask? Its pretty straightforward...

@bourgeob You're right about the spaces around the nose. Those are the weakest spots.
