@JamesTheFox I think you put it right, Jim was being more gentle with his voice on Clarity. But you can hear it on 'Static..' aswell, where he did some parts in a single take, his voice sounds real fragile on the gentle sung bits after the screamy stuff on some songs. I asume he had some problems with his voice by doing the screamy stuff the wrong way for too long. His 'gentle' voice has gotten more powerfull and he did some screamy singing when I saw JEW last July

@cringer666 This was back when Jim had just started being more gentle with his voice. In Static Prevails he was kinda screamy (I felt). But for Clarity you can tell he let forth something mighty. So it seems like he needed time to make it second nature and hence was a bit weak live in the 2 or 3 years after Clarity (from Futures onwards he sings much better live, and more powerfully). To be honest, if I had heard Static Prevails first I would have never EVER seen that gifted voice coming at ALL.

Best album ever written/produced - everyone should have given up after this came out.

This is the best intro track to any album, mainly the best, most revolutionary albums ever.

Clarity = One of the best albums ever written.

love this song and rachel. her voice compliments jim's so well.

i think she's a good fit. jim is awesome with orchestrating his own vocals on the records but for obvious reasons cant pull it off live. her voice complements jim's quite nicely for the higher vocal parts. but to each their own!

@lk7ar Yeah but I'd rather only hear Jim. They should turn her down
