The engine is rated at 200 hp/265tq at the crank from GM and it is still bone stock with factory manifolds running the factory ecm. It was built for a fun commuter and hasn't been put on the dyno or taken to the track. It has seen a best of 32 mpg on the interstate and routinely pulls down 25-28 mpg on my daily commute.
It probably has similar performance as the non-supercharged 3800's, but is far less common in fieros.
Factory 4.3 manifolds to 2 1/2" mandrel bent tubes, custom merge from the two 2 1/2" tubes into the 3" inlet of the Flowtech Afterburner and then dual 2 1/2" mandrel bends to the factory GT megaphone tips.
Sweet car man I have a 86 GT and have been wanting to do an engine and transmition swap but never knew how tough it would be. But that car sounds sweet and should run nice I give you major props.
What kind of power do you get out of it
1/4 mile time
Rear wheel hp
Curious to compare the 4.3 v6 to the 3.8 series II v6

How do you close the engine cover? Did you get a custom one? I think I'll be doing this swap soon.

I had to notch the passenger side deck lid support rib to clear the top of the throttle body. Aside from that, the decklid is stock.
