My two cents, take it or leave it.
I would buy more canned food for your home storage. Freeze dried foods are wonderful, espescially for bugging out (although the packages are bulky. Having the water to cook your food in a bug-in situation is key. Unless you have rain barrels or a water source nearby, you will need the extra water contained in cans. Plus you can probably buy a case of food with more variety than just one can of freeze dried food.

I like the way you show the world a very small amount of food and water... good strategy!

I know what you mean, sometimes it's hard to find a camping buddy. Sorry to hear about your house getting ripped off! Do you still have that North Face Bivy? Would you recommend it?
