This is a video of me installing and running Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 on an old iMac G3 from 2001. This is an operating system from 2005 running on hardware made 4 years earlier. I would like to see someone put XP or Vista on a PC made 4 years before the OS! And not expensive hardware at the time, since the iMac was a low end consumer computer! You just can't do this with windows! Also, the iMac runs better now than it has ever ran! Thanks for watching.

  • No wonder there's a cat, you have Mac OS X Tiger!

  • Nice! I love these iMacs. I am getting a 700 mhz graphite w/ airport, 1gb ram, and 80 gb hdd for $55!!! :D!!! Lol... sorry I just woke up... :D

  • I love that cute little kitty in the beginning. ;)

  • @hvrock13 I wouldn't say easily, but yes its possible.

  • kitty.. :)

  • @MadBoyAstro Unix is more secure, but Mac's can easily get viruses. Us Mac users are just lucky to not be targeted with them. The majority of computer users go the cheap route and buy an easily replaceable computer. Usually, that means shit for software.. and the users of those computers don't know what they're doing in the first place to prevent themselves from getting a virus. People say Mac users are "stupid" because Mac is easy to use.. but I'd say its the other way around.

  • @imextraordinary Developmental? bud, Macs have been around about 5 years longer than Windows has. They've got the kinks out of the OS, and Macs are running perfectly, more so than I can say of Vista and XP.. I'm not a fan of 7 either. Sure, PC's can use any hardware.. But what's to say that it will play nicely with other hardware? On a Mac, you know it'll work and theres no risk of user-picked hardware having a conflict with other hardware.

  • @Neoplan6o Good, that means Apple can sell more because thats a feature of their computers. Who wants to use a computer thats a pain in the ass to use, rather than one that just works?

  • A Mac is so easy to use even a cat can use one. ;)
