I do not love weapons. I have a interest in world war 2 and the people who fought in it. They used weapons and this was one of them, they are a major part of war. I DO NOT love weapons, i am fasniated by the design of them and function, i am not mad about them. I am interested in them just like i am with cars and the engineering side of them.

Yes as people have stated, and i have also said i am left handed, which is the reason it is being held in the way it is. I can fire the gun much more efficently this way than the normal way. End of the day ive never had a problem or accident holding it this way it may look silly but it works!!

on the Mk2 you could rotate the housing but you couldnt fire it with the mag vertical, as this would mean you would need to have another hole cut in the reciever for the empty cases to extract, plus the bolt would need to be turned aswell as the extractor wouldnt work at that angle.

I have heard the smae also, but its like many things stories that occur over the years. It was common for British and common wealth troops to use the Sten by holding the mag as it only the practical, it can be held by the barrel shroud but this heats up very quickly after a couple of magazines. Personally i have never had a problem holding it by the mag and the sten has done nothing but be reliable. Everyone has there own experiences i guess some bad some good.
