Now Thank We All Our God - Nun Danket alle Gott. This is a beautiful and Majestic Hymn for Praise and THANKSGIVING to our GOD. I also have a Prelude on this Hymn tune by Bach posted (Nun Danket alle Gott).

The hymn Melody was written by Johann Cruger and Harmonized by Felix Mendelssohon, later Johann Sebastain Bach wrote the Chorale. I am using the Cathedral Effect On the Organ for this one, with a nice Bombarde Pedal.

I am performing this Hymn SLOWLY and with great Dignity which it deserves intentionally... Congregational singing should be a faster, but NOT fast ! ( By performing the Hymn Slowly and with your HEADPHONES on, you will hear the Cathedral Effect I am utilizing nicely as well as the Bombarde pedal ) I have another arrangement which is played for congregational singing...

" Our God, we THANK Thee and PRAISE Thy Glorious Name " Chronicles 29:13

  • The ending is INCREDIBLE. Job well done.

  • how much would it cost to get one of those simple pipe organs installed into a home?

  • Virgil Fox did a great arrangement of this piece...

  • @davidnhvtme The tempo is just the way I recalled this hymn sung by the Mott Haven Reformed Church from 1956-1961.

  • Thank you for posting Das Lied der Deutschen. My mother is from Germany(Dad was a G.I.) and makes me think of my relatives there, and the ones from there that passed on.

May God bless all our service men and women.
