I tried to remove the metal sleeve from the bellcrank on my FJ60. It was a nightmare. I definitely don't recommend doing this on a 60.
The sleeve is "dovetailed" on one corner and took me 2 hours to get free. Ended up using a grinder on it. An easier way to restore fit would be to sand a little bit from both sides of the lever and pack full of grease.
