Nokia 3390 aka 3395 Released for T Mobile & Cingular in the fourth quarter of 2000. It wasn't very long on features , basically neanderthal in comparison to todays fancy do it all handsets. But this phone none the less sold extremely well , and to this day still being considered as one of the most successful handsets Nokia ever produced with over 130 million units sold in the USA.
@donotstealmythunder Like everything else now a days it's planned obsolescence. I believe the current up to date Cell Phones such as the iphone are deliberately designed to break & fail within a known time period. This way they're sure we'll have to keep coming back to buy them multiple times. I've had this phone since 2001 and it's still running strong. It even survived a trip through the washing machine because I forgot it was in my pocket. Try that with an iphone or HTC-HD7 LMAO

I used an upgraded version of this phone back in college. The phone was a tank. I'd be having a conversation on the 3rd floor apartment balcony, accidentally drop it to ground level, go downstairs, pick it up, and resume conversation. Wish I can do that with an i-phone.
