Naval drills in 70s. Hundreds of ships, thousands flying vehicles of Naval Aviation. Place of action - seas and oceans. Amphibians conduct reconnaissance. Antisubmarine planes and helicopters bring aboard
equipment for location and destruction of submarines.
Missile carriers work from shores. They can destroy an aircraft carrier of potential enemy... And very soon deck fighters will be introduced in service.

  • Russian aircraft carrier is still in the molding. While USN was forced out of WW2 to create a surface fleet of "show of force" Soviets primarily relied on quiet but deadly subs. They have more experience in the cold war with submarine warfare then we and all it takes is to look at all their sub classes to realize this. Now they're preparing and paving a way for aircraft carriers. In the 70's with 4 Minsk class carrier. Then in the 80's 2 Tbilisi class and then in the 90's with Ulyanovsk!
