Thanks a lot for your comment and compliment.

  • I love Tom Rush's music. You are very talented. Thanks for sharing. Nadine

  • Thanks a lot Nadine.

    Bernard.

  • Fabulous tone. A little plodding melodically. Hey, you asked for comments! Seriously, though, I'm a guitarist too. You just have to move the tune a little more rhythmically and it'll be killer. I live just a few miles from Rockport and the song rings true of a Sunday morning

  • Thanks a lot for your great comment.

  • I heard this played live by Tom back in 1966 at Kings Lynn in the UK . His introduction asked us to try to picture Rockport. Well it seemed like a place to visit but I never did. Just been taken back there...Kings Lynn (with...ah well I'll save her blushes) and Rockport in my mind> Thanks.

I like your version but find the bass too intrusive/dominant.... now to find the LP with it on. Try changing the Mic position If it's cardiod move it back a bit.

  • Great version! Nicely played, and certainly evokes the feelings of a Rockport morning. If you ever get the chance to see Tom Rush perform, be sure to take in the show. He's a great entertainer with great stories as well as his songs.

  • Great job- very nice!

  • Nice interpretation! Anyone looking for Tom's music should check out his site, TomRush.com. Buy something! :-) His touring schedule is there, too. I don't know about AZ, but he makes it to Annapolis MD (Rams Head) and Alexandria VA (Birchmere) in March each year. I think it's best to see him in small venues like Rams Head (<300 seats). He'll have CDs and DVDs for sale and will sign them. If he's not in your area, have a local venue try to book him. You won't regret seeing him live!

  • @SuperTonymay well, I thought he was Rock, Folk-Rock that is, when he was so much younger and did Bo Diddley stuff, along with Al Kooper, who also played with Bobby Dylan, back in the day....

  • Ya Nadine thanks a lot, BITCH.

  • Both my husband and I learned about Tom Rush today. My husband was in the radio business for a long time and had no idea who Tom Rush was until we heard him on NPR today. We both fell in love with his music and his voice. He sounds more country to me and more folksy to my husband. Now I want to listen to all his music!
