@RickMerchantttt i trained this today in class, also found it to be so nice and tight, fabulous submission

Wow. Beautiful. I'm making a playlist of all the techniques we drill in class, so I can just refer to it with my buddies whenever we train. And this is EXACTLY what we just went over. I also understand the comment was from over a year ago, but with the second armbar, I actually find it a lot TIGHTER with the ankles crossed, as opposed to keeping the legs straight. Thanks again, guys.

@BBoyFunky It doesn't matter if you cross your feet if they're on the side of his head, he won't be able to do anything about it and it doesn't put you in any bad spots.

@BBoyFunky ive been in MMA for 10 years and BJJ for 15 years. ive been toaught its personal prefrence but i rarely ever cross my feet

i use to do this a lot ima go back to it
He made a total rookie mistake though on his second armbar. NEVER EVER CROSS YOUR FEET.

You made a total rookie comment because it is perfectly acceptable to cross your feet on the other side of your opponents head during an armbar. In fact, a lot of the guys at 10th Planet prefer to cross the legs under the farside arm. The time that you're referring to NEVER cross your feet is when you have your opponent's back.
If you're going to make negative comments, please be correct.

Point taken, the 10th planet guys do cross feet. BUT that's only from the spider web position and when the person gettin armbared is locking up to try and prevent the submission.

Well take what works for you and stick with it. I've been doing this for just a little while and have made a conscious effort to minimize my "rookie" mistakes.

i dont get how the first armbar worked. because ur head was on his right side, but u had his left arm....i think i understand it but can u clarify plz?

@theneenjah No- I originally was attacking his right arm, but he quickly pulls it out. Therefore I have to transition to the triangle. There's actually another video that focuses on that transition, as this one primarily focuses on the triangle back to another armbar.
