First Day Sophomore Year;; Second Hour.
I slowly walked into second hour just before the late bell. My second hour class was probably one of the last classes youd ever find me in; Drama 1-2. No one knew this but I have a secret passion for the fine arts. In fact, I have even joined choir. The teacher, Mr. Martinez, ask half of the class to take out a piece of paper and write our first and last names on it, I was on that half. In the act of pulling out my notebook, a picture fell out of my backpack. I picked it up cautiously having just the slightest idea of who it was of. I flipped it over and it was a picture of my younger sister, Elliot, from when I was five and she was four, and I havent seen her since. You see, shes only a year younger than me because my dad had raped my mom after I was born. She wanted to wait for a couple years before having another kid. But as you can tell, my dad didnt want that. A year after Elliot was born; our parents had gotten a divorce. My mom got custody of Elliot and my dad got me. After we saw each other when she was four, my mom said that she wasnt going to bring Elliot over anymore and they moved to Lake Tahoe about a week or two later.
I put the picture away in my pocket, wrote my name down and put it in the basket that was going around. "Alright class, we are going to play an imporv game. You guys and gals on the other side of the room will pick a name. You will have 15 minutes to get to know each other then the imporv begins." Mr. Martinez said and passed the basket to the other side of the room. Please call out your persons name and they will stand and come over to your seat. I watched the basket go around, calmly waiting to hear my name called out but that didnt seem to happen anytime soon so I started doodling on a piece of paper. "Uhmm...Ryan Harte...?" I heard my name, finally. I stood up and so did the voice that called my name. I looked over at her. She seemed familiar but I wasnt able to give her a name. I walked over to her seat and sat down next to her. "Hey, Im Ryan," I said perplexed.
She had a slowly, spreading smile on her face, "Im Elliot, but you can call me Ellie."
"Elliot, Elliot what?" I hesitated to ask but I was anxious to know her last name.
"Elliot Harte."
Elliot! It was her! I pulled the picture out of my pocket and showed it to her, "Does this picture mean anything to you?"
She looked at it, studying it, "Hey how did you get that picture?" She pointed to it and looked up at me.
"Elliot, its me, Ryan, your brother."
